Lowboy Trailer: The Heavy Haul Workhorse

A Lowboy Trailer (also commonly called a Lowbed Trailer or simply Lowboy) is a specialized type of semitrailer designed to transport extremely tall, heavy, or oversized loads that cannot be carried by standard flatbed trailers due to height restrictions.

4.Removable Gooseneck (RGN - Removable Gooseneck Lowboy): Many modern lowboys have a detachable gooseneck. This allows the deck to be lowered completely to the ground, enabling loads to be driven or winched directly on/off (ground loading).

5.High Weight Capacity: Engineered with robust frames, multiple axles (often 2-7+ axles), and heavy-duty suspensions to handle massive weights, frequently exceeding 100 tons.

6.Multiple Axles & Configurations: Equipped with numerous axles (often on sliding or self-steering bogies) to distribute the immense load weight legally and safely across road surfaces. Hydraulic lifting/lowering of axles is common.

7.Deck Options: Typically features a long, flat, reinforced steel deck. Some have extendable decks, flip-up ramps, or deck extensions for longer loads.
